Reflections on the PT:

What have you learnt about your eating habits?

I learnt that I eat at regular times daily, but I do not eat enough of certain nutrients. While I normally eat enough meat and carbohydrates, I do not eat enough fruits and vegetables.

Do you consider your diet a healthy one? Why?

I do not consider my diet a healthy one as I do not eat enough of fruits and vegetables, and I eat to much sodium and fats. I do not have a very balanced diet.

Are the suggested nutritional tools useful? How?

The suggested nutritional tools are useful as they provide advice on how to improve our diets, and in which foods we can find the nutrients we require. Thus, we will not only know that we lack zinc, but also know in which foods we can consume zinc. However, there was a limitation. Not all foods that we eat could be found in the database.

Why is your suggested one-dish meal healthy?

It contains various vegetables, such as celery and carrots, and has chicken meat as well as an alternative for rice. This provides us with m,any of the nutrients we need. Also, this is a balanced meal as foods of all food groups except fruits can be found in this dish. This dish is also low in calories and fats.
